Teresa (Tracy) Stevens-Delhez

Registered Psychologist & Clinic Owner

Teresa (Tracy) Stevens-Delhez - Registered Psychologist & Clinic Owner

I am Teresa (Tracy) Stevens-Delhez and I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I began my education in the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Education Program where I completed my degree and went on to teach, working in special education and student counselling.

I went back to the U of A and completed my Masters in Counselling , with an assessment focus,  in 2001, while working full time and with a young family. My passion for counselling continued and I went on to complete my certification as a Registered Psychologist  in 2011.

Through my personal journey as well as those of my clients, I have seen the power that reframing thoughts and managing emotions can have on changing actions and creating balance within your life. I take a holistic view of mental health and work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that my clients are supported and connected to the resources needed to achieve their goals.I've been providing counselling services to St. Albert and the surrounding area since 2011 in both the private and non-profit areas.

Kristyn Gannon

Registered Provisional Psychologist

As a provisional psychologist, I support children, adolescents, adults, and families with both counselling and psychological assessment services here at TD Psychological Services. My clinical focus includes emotional regulation, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, self-esteem/self-image, therapeutic play, and psychological assessment.

I am particularly passionate about providing psychological assessment services to individuals of all ages. My knowledge and skills in the area of psychological assessment come from my time completing my Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary where I was trained in formal assessment. My time at the University of Calgary as well as my clinical experience as a provisional psychologist has provided me with detailed knowledge and practical skills in working with children and families and conducting psychological assessments.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings supporting children and families, including in the non-profit sector and educational settings. My time working in the non-profit sector allowed me to gain experience supporting children and families who are living with trauma, and experiencing barriers such as low income living, lack of housing, addiction issues, and more. It is here that I learned the importance of utilizing a trauma informed lens in my practice. My time supporting children in educational settingsprovided me with opportunities to support a wide range of children including children experiencing developmental disabilities, learning struggles, emotional disorders, trauma, and severe behavioral concerns.

I have a passion for providing counselling services to children and have completed my Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills through the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. My methods of conducting therapeutic play are based on the guiding principles of Child Centered play therapy and Adlerian play therapy. I utilize a variety of therapeutic play modalities in my work with children including sand tray, puppet work, art and creative techniques, therapeutic storytelling, and therapeutic games. My approach to therapeutic play is rooted in the belief that
play is a road map to a child’s inner world, and through play, children are able to communicate inner realities, process life events, and explore who they are, even when they do not have the words to do so.

In my work with adolescents and adults, I take a client-centered approach, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported and empowered. I believe in building a strong, trusting relationship to foster self-
awareness and growth. To meet each client's unique needs, I integrate evidence- based therapies such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). By combining these modalities with a client-centered lens, I help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and make lasting, meaningful changes aligned with their values and goals.

Teen & Adult Therapy

With over 10 years of experience in educational settings, I specialize in supporting school-aged adolescents, their families and adults. I have worked as a School Counsellor providing individual services to children and teens, and as a District Counsellor, where I offered both direct and consultative services on mental health initiatives, programming, and policy development. Now, I am excited to expand my practice and offer counselling services to new clients at TD Psychological & Counselling Services.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with teens and adults who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, family and relationship trauma, and struggles with finding meaning and purpose. My clinical focus includes anxiety and panic disorders, mood disorders, procrastination, process addictions, productivity challenges, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, social-skills development, loneliness, work-related stress, and existential questions.

I am particularly passionate about the role of sleep in mental health and well-being. My research, conducted during my Master of Science in Applied Psychology, deepened my interest in integrating evidence-based strategies into my practice. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and I continue to apply this expertise to help clients improve their sleep habits and overall mental health.

In my work, I take a person-centered and solution-focused approach, tailoring my methods to the unique needs of each individual. I recently completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology and am in the process of having my credentials reviewed by the College of Alberta Psychologists. While that process is underway, I am practicing under the title of Mental Health Therapist.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from MacEwan University.
